A teddy bear, digitised in detail

Soft textures. Fine detail. A complete view.

The brief was to create a digital double for an e-commerce storefront, with visual fidelity as the priority and a full 360° product visualisation.

Plush toys are a demanding capture subject. Fine fur, soft edges and an uneven surface all contribute to their character. We used Gaussian splatting to capture this teddy bear, paying close attention to the texture and detail that customers want to see.

Why Gaussian splatting?

Gaussian splatting reconstructs a subject’s appearance from photographs taken from multiple viewpoints. It can represent fine structures and changes in appearance between viewing angles, making it a useful approach to explore for visually complex subjects such as this bear.
